Giving Them Something to Talk About

Dallas and San Francisco.  What comes to mind when we think of those cities, those fan bases, those markets?   Aside from the 8 seeded  Warriors upsetting the top seeded Mavericks in 2007, the mention of these cities evokes memories and conversations of football at the highest level.  It’s October, the halfway point of the season, more often than not both teams at leading or contending in their respective divisions.

The past few Octobers things have been different.  This year takes the cake.  The Cowboys and 49ers have a combined 3 wins.  Dallas is attempting to complete a first to worst NFC East turnaround and San Francisco has found a way to be dead last in a very down NFC West.

Thankfully the Giants and Rangers have come to the rescue.  Yes the Giants and Rangers.  The Giants have dominated, cooling off a hot hitting Texas team, but you have to feel good for both teams no matter the outcome.  The World Series may end tonight, but it’s safe to say no one had these teams in the Fall Classic at the end of Spring Training.  Both cities have something positive to talk about in October.

Agree, disagree, agree to disagree.  It doesn’t matter.  Feel free to scroll down and leave a comment.
