Britt Happens

Earlier in this decade, when it was time to meet with Roger Goodell about discipline, the Titans player rep for that was Pacman Jones.  Now Kenny Britt is filling the position.  He’s not at Pacman’s level yet, but he’s made a lot of bad decisions.  Bar fight, traffic violations, etc.  He’s still labeled as a nice guy who is just making bad decisions.  He still has time to get it turned around.

Goodell has been suspending everything that moves since he became commissioner.  Many wonder if he has to much power.  Players mistakes are what leads to them having to face him, but should they have to face him or should someone else be in charge of discipline?  Then there is the timing issue, should players be disciplined during the lockout when the league is the one that locked them out?  Goodell popped Terrelle Pryor for 5 games during the lockout and he wasn’t even an NFL player yet.  Titans fans can only hope Britt gets a warning.  Chris Johnson’s contract situation is on real thin ice.  Someone needs to tell Bud Adams to give him an offer that’s in the ballpark.  Chris doesn’t need to demand quarterback money, but he needs to make a lot more than he’s making.  All this and possibly no Britt too?  Gonna be a bad offensive year in Nashville.

Agree, disagree, agree to disagree?  It doesn’t matter.  Feel free to leave a comment.
